Policies & Fees
Appointment cancellations must be made 48 business hours before the appointment time. Weekend days are excluded. This allows us time to re-book the cancelled appointment. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the appointment will be charged the full fee.
Dr. Hobbins will provide you with enough medication at your appointment to last until your next appointment. Repeated requests for medication refills outside of an appointment will be subject to a charge. Medications will not be changed outside of an appointment in which the change can be properly assessed.
Payment and Insurance
Private pay options and insurance options are available.
Private payment and all copays due at the time of service by cash or check.
Dr. Hobbins accepts most UPMC Commercial Health Plans and UPMC for Kids (CHIP) however it is critical to check with member services to verify that Dr. Hobbins is a participating provider with your UPMC plan.
Dr. Hobbins is not a Medicare or Medicaid provider, even for UPMC plans.
If you wish to use your insurance but do not have a UPMC plan, you may seek reimbursement from your insurance company. Many PPO plans reimburse up to 80% of the session fee.
Dr. Hobbins will provide you with a superbill receipt from your appointment that you can submit to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. Please check the back of your insurance card and call the behavioral health number to learn what your out of network benefits are.
The superbill will also contain all information needed for HSA accounts.
